Global Wind Service extends agreement for French offshore wind farm
We are delighted to announce that we have extended the service contract for Saint Nazaire and thereby continue servicing the first-ever French offshore wind farm.
Parc éolien en mer de Saint-Nazaire as it is called in French, is located close to Saint Nazaire, 12 to 20 kilometers off the Loire-Atlantique coast.
This extension of the service scope is the continuation of our successful installation of the 80 GE Haliade 150-6MW turbines which began in April 2022. For two years Global Wind Service (GWS) has undertaken preventive maintenance and corrective works and we are delighted to continue with our strong setup in Saint Nazaire.
“We take great pride in having remained on site since Day one. Our team is highly experienced with Haliade 150-6MW turbines and that has been recognized by GE Vernova. We were chosen for our expertise and dedication to the highest standards of safety and quality.
The installation phase was completed successfully and ahead of schedule, and we are very happy to continue to work on this project.” Said Country Manager Adrien Galinier
France’s offshore wind energy sector is poised for significant growth, with 15 projects planned for completion by 2035. Global Wind Service is proud to be a key supplier in this development, as we continue our work in St. Nazaire. GWS is committed to support the continuous development of the French offshore wind energy sector, and look forward to continuing our successful collaborations in the French ports and waters.
