Global Wind Service has commenced offshore preassembly support for the Windanker project in Germany

The project includes 21 SG 14.0-236 DD wind turbines with a total capacity of 300 MW. Turbine components are undergoing preassembly at Offshore Terminal North in the Port of Mukran/Sassnitz, preparing them for the next stages of offshore installation.

Global Wind Service is bringing its experienced teams and technical expertise to support the preparation of towers, nacelles, and other offshore wind turbine components. The work demands close coordination, deep technical knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and efficient project delivery.

Windanker is another important offshore wind project in the Baltic Sea region, and we are pleased to support Siemens Gamesa with our preassembly experience,” said Jacob Dehlbaek, Offshore Divisional Director at Global Wind Service. “Projects of this scale require skilled technicians, structured planning and strong collaboration across all parties involved. We are proud that our teams can contribute to the successful preparation of these turbines for offshore installation.”

The Windanker project adds to Global Wind Service’s continued involvement in offshore wind projects across Europe and reflects the company’s broad experience within preassembly, installation, service and other specialist wind turbine activities.

With the Baltic Sea continuing to play an important role in Europe’s renewable energy development, projects such as Windanker underline the need for experienced execution partners who can support complex offshore wind operations safely and effectively.
