Global Wind Service Moves UK Office to Lowestoft for Expansion
Global Wind Service is pleased to announce the relocation of its UK main office to a new facility at Barnards Way, Lowestoft, United Kingdom.
"The new office in Lowestoft is a strategic step that aligns with GWS’s future expansion plans. The facility provides the company with the space and resources needed to support the increasing demand for renewable energy services in the UK, but also reaffirms our long-term commitment to the United Kingdom and East Anglia,” said Gary Horner, Country Manager at Global Wind Service UK Limited. “The ten-year lease agreement we have signed is a testament to our dedication to this region and our confidence in its potential for renewable energy development.
In addition to the Lowestoft office, GWS expanded its UK presence last year with the opening of a new office in Hull. This expansion highlights the GWS’s growth strategy and our focus on enhancing service delivery across the United Kingdom.
Having been active in the UK since 2009, GWS has successfully delivered numerous projects both onshore and offshore. The company has helped install 1,513 offshore turbines, totaling 9,592 megawatts, and 879 onshore turbines, contributing 2,108 megawatts to the UK’s renewable energy capacity. GWS has also accumulated over 813,923 hours of service and blade maintenance activities. As such, GWS has played a pivotal role in many key projects over the past fifteen years, across all major OEMs.
